Finally – the festival is on, and the beat is on! Today’s programme includes the children’s parade – «BarneStreet» – and a common parade around Arendal at 12 noon.
Later on there are various concerts and happenings around Arendal and its surrondings. The Norwegian band «Violet Road» will host a concert at the island of «Merdø» at 4 pm – it was originally scheduled to be hosted at the Torungen Lighthouse, but it had to be rescheduled due to
strong gales and windy conditions. Tickets are still available and transportation is by boat from the Tyholmen Pier next to Clarion Tyholmen Hotel.
Later on tonight the Norwegian Folk singer Ole Paus is hosting a concert at Arendal Cemetery at 9.30 pm. This concert is sold out already, so if you do not already have a ticket, we recommend you to check out the famous Norwegian Jazz musician Bugge Wesseltoft and his «Arendal Sessions» at Clarion Tyholmen Hotel at 7 pm. Bugge is accompanied by Wolfgang Muthspiel, Dhafer Youssef, Shri Sriram, Paolo Vinaccia and Anneli Drecker. Together they’re
creating a musical experience to remember!
Clarion Tyholmen Hotel is also hosting tonights Night Sessions starting at 9.30 pm.
